Hi, Iā€™m MELANIE ROY, M. Ed.

Navagating the world of Special Education can be overwhelming and frustrating. My goal is to help you build your knowledge and confidence, while ensuring you have a cooperative and effective approach to advocating for your child.

The Individual Education Plan, or IEP, process can feel daunting and complicated. I will be there to support you each step of the way, from navigating the referral process alongside initial evaluations and reports, to finalizing IEPs with suggested accomodations and goals to best meet the needs of your unique learner. I offer a variety of services, from consultation and review of materials through full support. Your initial consultation is FREE, I look forward to working with you!

My Approach

As a former Special Education Teacher and advocate for my own children, I understand the unique challenges for both sides of the process. My approach is heavily child-centered with a collaborative method when communicating with the school disctrict.
